Yeah those are the old cruiser tires the ones i got are ok just heavy i mean they look bigger than yours and the tread goes farther down that you will ever need... Can't wait to show you this thing when the wheels spin fast (air) it looks like a white and purple blur pretty sick! And with lowered forks your bike would be pretty much the sickest bikes out there... Not sure the name off the shop but i heard they do stuff like that just google shops in Rutland...
I looked up kenda flames to and they were like freaking cruiser tires.. Idk if these are dif but there like 2.5 wide and the tread wraps around almost all the way... They should corner just as good as hookworms or kiniptioptions.... Yea you should lower your forks it would be sick! Cal l around and find out there's a big shop in Rutland im sure they would do it....
Hey with the new tires (there nice but really heavy) and the stem both wheels and a uncut steer tube it weighs like 23 pounds..... Should be under 28 no problem...
They didn't look gr8 there was like some red wich clashed with the purple.... If i want them back on I have another set thats identical..... I also have a set with skulls and stuff that looks pretty good... Might go with them... Idk It looks pretty gd like it is..
Yea I know.... Should a got it from crc.. My frame is really nice! I desticered my djs and put one white ns sticker on the lower it looks really good! The top tube is def longer than yours though..
Cool, my frame came! It's super light! Like so light it feels crazy! It's super crazy nice! Wheels and stem and headset should be here monday so it's coming along..
I would say the DJ is easier to build than the mtn bikes. There is one key difference- the gears! I like my bike being a single speed. I would look for a nice 55 mm rise. I personally like the way bars feel when they are up more. Make sure you have horizontal drop outs! I hate the need for a chain stay or chain tentioner that hang like derailers! Its easier to toghten the rear wheel with horizontal drop outs. You can buy bikes from the mountains?
I rode my P12 all over highlands last year. Hard tail. Did great, just really white knuckles and lots of braking!
I found a motobecane bike that I like on bikes direct, but I am thinking I want plush more than XC. Like 7 inches of travel just to be able to feel the flow of trails more. But, I am not sure I want a bike over 40 lbs. I was looking at older Specialized Big Hits- I like those a lot. Sorry you can't make it to Highlands Dude!!! No worries. Maybe you can come ride at our new Park when its done- wish us luck, we start rebuilding on September 1st!
Our Group is heading to Highlands on the 25th of August. Thats this week. Glad to hear with some personal mods your bike is that much more rocking. isn't 31 inches a really wide bar? Damn. How do you get through the trees with such a moose rack of a handle bar? Hellion is a good trail- only crazy people like myself go down hellion and cat scratch with hard tails! Looking at my own full suspension bike from bikesdirect.com motobecane. We shalls ee what I do
i was coming home from gparents and saw your jump set up with the 5 or what ever foot gap. so yo love yuor bike? post some picts talked to my dad im going up to THE shop probaly tues. yea
